Upon graduation from McMaster University, Doug spent a year in Kobe, Japan where he was a language instructor for a multi-national corporation. He returned home to pursue a career in the investment industry and has been building a successful financial advisory practice ever since.
Doug and his wife Jennifer have made their home in Dundas where they are busy parents to Kyla, Jakob and Ava. Doug is actively involved in the community as a member of the Dundas Golf and Curling Club, with his church in Burlington, and as a volunteer with 'babyshowers', a charity he co-founded with his wife Jennifer. When not serving clients, he enjoys playing the piano, golf, running, hiking, and hockey.
In the complex world of finance, it is imperative for any professional to stay erudite and informed. To that end, Doug is committed to upgrading his knowledge base through continuing education. In addition to several industry related courses, he has earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner from the Financial Planners Standards Council as well as Certified Investment Manager and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institue. These designations give credence to the quality of advice, ethical standards and level of expertise Doug's clients have come to expect. He has also received specialized training in the area of hedge funds, which have become an important asset class for many of his high net worth clients.
Doug and his team are very committed to building and preserving wealth. The goal is to offer proactive solutions to complex problems while maintaining a consistently high level of service.
My clients are not simply looking for someone to hold their money, they want to work with a leader, someone who can deliver effective results and offer reliable solutions to wealth related issues.
